Jason Brofford
Jason Brofford was born and raised in Gahanna, Ohio and graduated from Gahanna Lincoln High School in 1991. He then went on to Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. From there, he began exploring opportunities within the insurance industry and started a scratch agency with American Family Insurance in 1999. In 2001, the opportunity to become an independent agent with Detwiler Insurance Agency, Inc. was too good to pass up. In 2005, Jason became the agency’s owner and has been dedicated to serving the insurance needs of individuals and businesses ever since.
Jason now practices and resides in Gahanna with his wife, twin daughters and son. His wife is a full time mother, elementary school aide and native of Zanesville, Ohio.
Jason is an active member of the Central Ohio Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter, The Gahanna Chamber of Commerce, the New Albany Chamber of Commerce, and Ohio Insurance Agents. He also volunteers his time and stays active by being involved in all of his children’s many activities!
Zach Johnson
Zach was born and raised in Chillicothe, Ohio. He is a graduate of Unioto High School and a 2008 graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. He worked in the automotive industry for five years after college, where is interest in insurance began. In 2013, Zach obtained his Ohio Insurance Licenses in auto, home, life and health. His experience in the automotive industry made for a smooth transition.
Zach joined Detwiler Brofford Insurance in 2013 and has been with the agency ever since. It is his home away from home, and his clients have become like friends. Zach has a passion for helping people, solving problems and ensuring his clients get the best coverage for their money.
When Zach isn’t helping clients, he is spending time with his family, his wife Audra and their young children. He also enjoys golfing and traveling.
As an agent, Zach is an outgoing guy who truly enjoys helping clients with their insurance needs.
Sonya E. Wasmer
Sonya was born and raised in Ohio. She graduated from Pickerington high School in 1986. She and her husband have resided in Gahanna since 1998. They are the proud parents of identical twin daughters. Much of their spare time is spent volunteering in the community for their children’s activities and fundraisers. Her favorite enjoyment comes from spending time with her family and friends.
Sonya has many years of professional experience in the finance and insurance industries. In 2015 she joined the Detwiler-Brofford Insurance, Inc. team. There, she offers property, casualty and life insurance to residents in Ohio, Illinois, and Pennsylvania. Sonya works hard to give individuals, families, and businesses the guidance they need to purchase the right policies for them.
Nothing makes Sonya happier than saving customers money while providing the best possible coverage and service.
Missy Rowley
Melissa (Missy) Rowley joined the staff here at Detwiler-Brofford Insurance in April 2017. She has been the perfect addition. Missy’s knowledge from working in the insurance industry for 30+ years allowed her to jump right into the Customer Service position here.
Missy lives nearby in Pataskala with her husband Steve and 2 cats. They enjoy riding their Harley on the weekend and hanging out with family and friends.
As a lifelong Columbus resident Missy knows all the ins and outs of Insurance and would be so happy to help you along the way.
